Welcome
Welcome to The Free Energy Developer's Forum.

This forum has been set up for the discussion of Free Energy Devices primarily foucsed on easily reproducable devices. I would like this forum to be a useful starting point for anyone beginning their projects so that the subject of free energy may be more commonly understood and recognised with easily reproducable projects and experiments.

I set up this forum primarily to post the answers to commonly asked questions. I'm afraid I don't have much time to participate in discussions but feel free to join www.energeticforums.com if you need more help.

Nice Tone - but not spinning up...

Thank you for the excellent tutorials. Your virtual walkthroughs are very well done and inspiring!

I've completed (or nearly completed) my 1st bedini and for whatever reason I cannot get it to spin-up. Everything looks right, sounds right, etc. just can't get it going. I used the parts/setup recommended in the PESWiki. Could the 680 ohm resistor & 10k pot be the problem? The PESWiki parts list also indicated that the 1N914 was an acceptable substitute for the 1N4001 (which I've been unable to locate). Have you heard anything good or bad about this diode substitution?

I would be hugely greatful if you could take a look. I've attached annotated images of my circuit & rotor.

Thank you,

Hi Freenerd,

Welcome to the forum...

Your setup are very nice.....love it..LOL

The first thing I suggest is, try using 100Ohm resistor and 1K Ohm Potentiometer.
If you use mono Potentiometer usually we use the left/right pin and the middle one....
That is the popular in my country anyway...., or better you check using your multimeter which the correct pin should use.

1K Pot & 100ohm resister did the trick. Wheel turned but very very slowly at first. From a high or low speed kick-start the wheel settled in consistently at only 140rpm. Troubleshot to the rpm issue to an rps problem (really poor soldering) at the Pot  Fixed that and away she went! Pot adjustments are changing the wheel speed as per design. With charge battery disconnected the neon flashes on each mag pulse nicely and wheel speed picks up.

Now for the good stuff - after tuning... 12V IN from primary battery equals 13V OUT to charging battery - this sucker works!!!

This is my 1st electronic gadget and it is a success. Time to build it bigger & better...

Thanks again for the perfect advice!

Talk to you soon.

Well done mate

That very good news for me today...

Well done.. :thumb:

The next thing to speed up, try the gap from magnet and coil as close as possible, then check your bearing, if is use some like "grease" in it, just clean up and put light oil.....

To the best speed, your wheel should perfectly balance....

Hope that help...
