Welcome to The Free Energy Developer's Forum.

This forum has been set up for the discussion of Free Energy Devices primarily foucsed on easily reproducable devices. I would like this forum to be a useful starting point for anyone beginning their projects so that the subject of free energy may be more commonly understood and recognised with easily reproducable projects and experiments.

I set up this forum primarily to post the answers to commonly asked questions. I'm afraid I don't have much time to participate in discussions but feel free to join www.energeticforums.com if you need more help.

cannot get wheel to spin

Postby Hoss007 on Thu Mar 05, 2009 2:50 am

Hi guys, having trouble getting my wheel to spin. I can get the magnets to repel away from the coil if I short the collector to the base, when the system is not humming. I used a 2n3055 transistor, a 120v neon bulb wired from the collector to the emitter, between the emitter and the base I wired a 1n4001 diode, and a 1n4007 was wired to the bottom of the transistor to go to the charging battery, I wired a 430 ohm resister between the base and the 1 k pot. The coil is 1000 turn of #20 magnet wire run in parallel, and I used small welding rods for the centre of the spool. The wheel is a small metal childrens bicycle tire 1 inch ceramic disc magnets spaced 2 1/2 inches apart. The coil is making a slight humming sound but will not repel the magnets. I have changed transistors out several times, and flipped the coil to make sure I have opposing poles with the magnets. It does not seem to matter which way the coil is, it aways attracts the magnets when the coil is humming.

How do I know if the transistor is burnt out ?
What is burning them out ? (I always hook up the charge battery first)
I have never seen the neon light up is it suppose to when the machine running?
Will the metal wheel have any negative effects on the system?
How fast do I have to spin the wheel manually?
And the most important question I have is how the heck do you wire the pot properly, this was not shown in the video? ( I am at about a kindergerden level when it comes to electronics. )

Any info would help

Thanks

Hi Teryl Ahlstromm

Welcome to the forum...

For the first just replace your resistor to 100 ohm...
Here is the link about how to check your transistor http://www.elexp.com/t_test.htm

Just spin your wheel 1 turn that is enaught for start.

Hope that help,
